On Sunday September 26th 2010, the CISS, in conjunction with the Alulbayt Foundation, participated in the Eid Festival held in Trafalgar Square, London. The festival, which hosted stalls, nasheeds, theatrical performances and of course food, was attended by hundreds of Muslims all over the UK (in the torrential British rain!). This gave the CISS a good opportunity for exposure and the chance to reach grassroots Muslims about its academic and community activities.

On Wednesday 15th September CISS held its annual Eid Celebration which was held at Alulbayt Foundation and brought together local council officers, journalists and media, academics and wider community members, Muslim and non-Muslim. The theme of the celebration was 'Challenging Stereotypes' and was subtitled 'Reflection of Ramadhan'. An inspiring recitation of the Qur'an by Ali Saedi and wonderful poetry recital by Ali Fadhil punctuated talks by Sayed Mohsin Abbas, Sayed Fadhil Bahrululum, Imranali Panjwani and Hadia Saad.
